Snapdragon.. not so snappy
MONTAGE - QUICK CUTS
- EXT. STREET - DAY
An AMAZON DELIVERY DRIVER, JASON (mid-20s, quick on his feet, hustling), pulls a package from the back of his van.
WHOOSH — the package sails into his hand. - EXT. HOUSE - DAY
Jason quickly drops the package at the door, snaps a photo.
SNAP — done in a flash. - EXT. APARTMENT COMPLEX - DAY
Another package, Jason moving swiftly.
POP — doorbell pressed, package set, photo taken, moving on.
FAST EDITS — Jason drops packages one after the other, his pace steady, efficient, rhythmic. Footsteps on the pavement, packages thudding softly at doorsteps, camera flashes. It's a well-oiled machine.
EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY
Jason pulls up to a larger apartment building, grabs a package, and heads to the front door.
BAM!
Jason pulls on the door handle — it doesn’t budge. He tugs harder. BAM, still stuck.
JASON
(under his breath)
Oh, come on…
He checks the customer info on his handheld, pulls up the call box, and buzzes the apartment.
VOICE (OVER INTERCOM)
Yes? Who is it?
JASON
Amazon delivery, ma’am.
VOICE
(slightly distant)
Okay, come on up. Just leave the package at the door.
JASON
(copying her tone)
Will do.
Jason smirks, hits the elevator button. DING — it arrives. He steps inside.
MONTAGE (CONT'D) — FAST EDITS
- FINGER ON BUTTON — Elevator lights up.
- ELEVATOR DOORS CLOSING — WHOOSH.
- FOOTSTEPS — Jason moves down the hallway, scanning door numbers.
- PACKAGE IN HAND — Door found. He quickly drops it.
Jason spins around, reaching for his phone, ready to snap a photo of the delivery.
CLOSE-UP — Phone screen, Amazon photo app open.
FREEZE.
JASON
(annoyed, muttering)
You gotta be kidding me...
He taps the screen. Nothing. Sighs, force-closes the app, opens it back up, all while the rhythmic sounds around him fade away.
JASON
(snarky)
Snappy pics, huh? That's that Snapdragon, not so snappy.
Finally, the app reloads. Jason snaps the photo, the process taking a few seconds longer than it should.
JASON
(tapping the screen)
There we go. And... sent.
He pockets the phone, turning back toward the elevator with a quickness.
